Hotel Balzac Named a Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Hotel

31 March 2016

5-Star Parisian Hotel Receives World-Class Accolade

The five-star Hotel Balzac is honoured to have been named a Forbes Travel Guide Recommended Hotel. Described as the ‘…global authority on luxury travel’, the internationally respected online guide offers insight into luxury hospitality properties with particular emphasis on the quality of service. The hotel prides itself on the extremely high level of service and quality of facilities it delivers, and is delighted to have received such a glowing overview in the Forbes Travel Guide.

Hotel Balzac Overview

Within its detailed overview, Forbes Travel Guide delves into every experience on offer at the luxury Hotel Balzac. Describing it as ‘...a top-tier boutique hotel with unmistakeable French flavor…’, Forbes offers insight into the hotel's fascinating history and how this has influenced its current neoclassical aesthetic. From an exotic 19th century palace to a hot-spot Parisian salon serving champagne, it passed through many hands before being purchased by French novelist and playwright Honoré de Balzac for his future wife the Countess Ewelina Hanska. Forbes goes on to say ‘…the 56 rooms pay tribute to Balzac, with lithographs of the author, pages filled with handwriting and images from his many stories decorating the walls.’

Continuing to paint a decadent picture of Hotel Balzac, Forbes defines its atmosphere as ‘…intimate and opulent, and distinctly French’. The hotel's array of rich colours, luxurious fabrics and stunning features including crystal chandeliers, Louis XIV furnishings and crown bed canopies are also described. Located a mere minute’s walk from the Champs-Élysées, Forbes writes that the admired hotel is ‘…within steps of the major couture houses and international fashion brands, along with plenty of upscale dining options’ and offers easy access to Metro George V. Other notable inclusions include the likes of ‘…extraordinary views of the Eiffel Tower’ and being home to ‘one of the city’s finest French dining establishments…’, stating that Pierre Gagnaire’s ‘…French fusion cuisine is internationally renowned…’.
